Edwards Lifesciences

Project Description

The Edwards Lifesciences headquarters Irvine, California, showcased polished concrete floors throughout its design. However, a challenge arose when the light fixture holes were significantly larger than the fixtures themselves. This issue encompassed a 165-foot stretch across the mezzanine.

Initially, a generic concrete patch was employed to fill these gaps around the lights. The appearance of the repairs were noticeable, and did not meet the requirements of the design team.

The solution? Camo Patch UV, aliphatic polymer, was introduced to replace and repair the gap around the light fixtures. Local concrete sands were expertly incorporated into the repair, combined with the “Spot On” color-matching technique. Notably, this repair system remains resistant to color changes in response to sunlight or UV lighting, and is non-shrink.
